Lift pump

I can not get the lift pump to fill to the top only fills 3/4 any ideas regards Darryl

Had that problem myself. Apparently there are two different pumps with different flange sizes -- one with a glass dome and one with only a metal cover. I obtained a glass domed one and had to make an aluminium plate to cover the extra sized 'hole'. Works well.

Should be OK, they do run like that sometimes. As long as you are getting a full flow of fuel down the pipe don't worry.

Just a thought, has yours got the fine circular gauze filter fitted (which plugs in the centre of the pump under the dome) ??
