Hi
Yes sometimes the pin will push through with great help " The bonnet supported upright on blocks and beat the pin with a 14lb sledge and punch"

. Spray the pin with plenty of penetrating oil, try hit it one way spray again beat it back forward a few times, if it starts moving. then a guy can get mole grips on it, then start turning and pulling it out. It might take a while and maybe have to use a hammer and punch still to help.
I had one I had to heat with an acetylene torch down the hinge pin line, cool it with water then pull the rod out. it was seized pretty tight in there and took over an hour

. You might find if your not careful the tapered pin end might get messed up to hitting it getting it out

.
There are 2 mounts as you say one on the tank and the other is bolted to the front cowl just to the left of the radiator filler neck, as you look from the fuel tank towards the front of the tractor. There is a kind of pressed channel in the center of the cowl where the sealing rubber is riveted to, it goes there with 2 fixing screws .
