Check valve ball size ?

I have a super major that the check valve, or some call it the non return valve, the ball is dented slightly.
I want to get 2 new ones and use one to lightly tap the ball against the seat, to hopefully form a better fit.
Then use the brand new one for use.
What size ball am I supposed to use ?

According to the Parts List, "Ball (HPL Check Valve)" is part no 119810-ES and the standard parts listing says this is a " 7/16 in steel ball".

I just wanted to post back and say thank you. The 7/16 ball size was a perfect match, to the old ball in my check valve.
