Any significance concerning one-piece levers as against knobbed levers?
I thought they changed in later years, but I’ve recently seen photos of early Majors with the larger, screw on end.

The early levers had a large separate knob and were fixed on with a pin. these had a bad habit of getting very loose, so were replaced with the clamp type in around 54, this was the one piece type, which was replaced by a two piece clamp type with the Power Major with a smaller knob. Ebro never used a two piece knob, the lower dash needing a larger hole to allow it through.

Thanks for the comments. My query relates to the knob at the driver end.
Some are cast as one piece (similar to starter lever), others have a much larger, screwed-on composite knob.
Why the difference?

I don't know why they changed the knob in 54, they must have thought the one piece casting would be cheaper. Anything post Power Major however must have a separate knob as otherwise the lever won't fit through the dash.
