I have a rear loader behind my Super.



At this moment I have the rods of the lift turned into the highest position (I think).
But the rear loader doesn't touches the ground, when I have the lift arms in the lowest position.



Therefor I would like to turn out both the rods to lower the lift arms.
My question is how much can I turn the rods out, before I damage the rods with a heavy load in the lift?

Two things to check Pascal. Are you in Draft or Position control? You may find a difference if you change. Another thing, which hole in the lower links are your arms connected to? This again will make a difference.

I would ensure that at least 40 mm of thread is still engaged.

An old machinist once told me that three full threads will bear the design load but my rule of thumb has always to have the length of the full diameter and a little extra if possible. A lot depends on the heat treatment of the steel in question.

Now, I "just" have to loosen the left rod...
I already put some WD40 on it, because it's quite stuck as this moment.
