Hello all, thanks to Brian and JC I was able to start my old power major yesterday. The control rod/rack was stuck. I was able to get to it by removing excess fuel housing which was very easy, just four screws. When I took housing off I could see the rod did not move toward the back as it should which made me feel real good that I had found the problem. I freed it up with light pressure hoping I would not hurt diaphram on the other end. She started, shut it down and started again with no problem. So now I'll move on to changing out trans/rear end oil, cleaning filter and see if my work on the hydraulics was any success. I'm sure I'll will have more questions as I move along on getting her back into shape. Again thanks Brian and JC, I could not have her running without your help.

Hey Larry, I squirtted a little automatic transmission oil onto rod also. You can feel the rod move if it is not stuck by just moving the fuel cut off by hand back and forth.
