Brake cable

Today I wanted to change my left brake cable. After I had removed the old one , I wanted to fit the new one. But that was to easy.

I have 3 cables. The bleu one was on the tractor and is long and has LH on the bracket.
The other long one that I wanted to use say's RH, so this would be the right one.
The short one has also LH on it but that one is way to short. Could this one be from a super or even a E27N?

Is it possible to get end of the cable from the cable itself and change the bracket and hard solder it back together?
New cables are a bit expensive.

Henk,

The short cable belongs to the E27N as their brakes were flush mounted on the transmission housing. New Major brakes were on a pedestal so required a longer cable.

Now to your query about repairing the cable, there is a Company is the UK who have change over cables available for Fordsons. Brian will be able to tell you who it is.

id say its easier to get a new cable, they are only about £27 + vat.

its not worth the hassle id say
they should be 685mm

Just for info, super major did not have a cable at all!

After I thought about different way's a repairing the cable, I decided it would be better to buy a new one. They cost about 60 to 70 euros over here. But I don't want the risk of a cable braking when I have to brake on a dike with a ditch underneath. That would mean a certain dead ending up with the major on top of me. Now I will have a spare right one and a E27N one for sale.
