I have a Power Major unsure of its year, typical casting codes are C4B late 1958. The engine I believe is not original, the engine number is 502E57237 and pump number P4685.
Can anyone tell me anything about the engine and pump.

The pump number leads me to believe it's a Minimec unit and that would(if it's a tractor engine) make your engine a new performance super major one.

Foxen,

502E looks like a Thames Trader engine number to me.

Oops, I should have checked the engine number guide first...

Thanks for the help.
Does anyone know the horse power, and is there any site that could give me more info on the engine.

The engine is basically the same as a New Performance Super and all the settings will be the same. The only difference may be in the fuel pump, if it is a truck pump and this will be in the governor characteristics. You could find an agricultural pump and fit to it if you found any problems.

HP would be around 55 as opposed to a Power Majors 51.
