The shifter on my Power Major will spin around so I'm going to try and put the shifter from the Major on her. This is the shifter I took off the Major, sitting beside the raised pto, and a shot of inside where it connects:Image Image The shifter looks to be in good: Image Hopefull this will fit although the bend in the shifter is different from the one on my Power Major.
Thanks

The problem with the lever turning is a little pin in the side of the housing has failed. Easy fix if you take the lever out, drive out the pin and make a new one.

Thanks Brian. When I took the one off of the Major I noticed a pin on left side of shifter housing. I looked at the one on my Power Major and it is sticking out of the housing maybe 1/8" or slightly more. If this is the pin you mention can I just tap it back into the housing to keep it from spinning around?
Thanks

Yes, it may be worn at the lever end but that should sort it if it has moved back. A dot punch indent on the side of the housing might help tp hold it
