Hello all this is a great site! I purchased a fordson loader with a backhoe two years ago. No manuals so all I have learned about the tractor has been from this site. I was doing some work in the back of the house when I heard knocking coming from the engine. I removed the oil pan and found the #4 connecting rod loose. After removing the cap I found bearing remnants. The crank shaft was scared also. I removed the #1 connecting rod bearing cap and found the bearing was o.k. I plan on getting the crank shaft serviced and put in new bearings on the crank and connecting rods. The upper half looks good very little wear on the sleeves.

Can anyone tell me where I might pick up a new piston rod?
