FSM F1 Cylinder Head

Having the cylinder head redone on the Super Major. It had been off the engine prior to my ownership and was not repaired very well resulting in early failure. It had dropped a valve on # 1 cylinder and that is all that was repaired. I would like to have the head cut a little to clean things up to insure a good seal. Question is: how much can be safely cut without unintended consequences? Thanks for your advice.
