REAR TRANSMISSION ADVICE, PLEASE.

I have just drained the rear transmission on my power major, the oil was less than perfect! Milky and with a bit of crap.
Is there anything I can do to flush the thing out, seems to be a lot of thick grunge hanging around in there?
Also I will be doing the PTO seal while it is empty, anything else I need to look at?
I've noticed that the grease that has been going into the top PTO arms (Lifting) is going into the transmission, I can see gobs of it thru the fill hole, I take it this is not normal?
I am also getting oil from the RH axle seal, at least I guess that is where it is coming from, comes down and coates the rim and tyre, any thoughts on how much of a job that one would be?
Thanks in advance for assistance, this forum is almost as good as my :D Fordson!!

About cleaning the rear end there's a topic on the old board. Can't find it, so make a search.

Thanks for the links guys. I have removed the 4 bolts around the PTO shaft at the back, I thought it would come away with the seal as part of the assembly but of course the whole shaft comes out, but not far as it fouls on the tow hitch area, guess I'll have to unbolt that and swing it out of the way. I am starting to think a bit of a leak is not that bad :? As for the axle seals, that will be another time.
