Low pressure on clutch pedal

Hi guys,

After my gearbox rebuild I put the engine back on..and than I discovered the pressure on the clutch pedal was very low. :scratchhead:
I could press the pedal down with one finger (and I am not that strong :D )
So we removed the engine again. I was told to wire the spring on the clutch axle twice, so we did that...quite a hard job though.
We mounted the engine again, but still very low pressure..

I have haven't got a clue what seems to be the problem. I can't remember changing any settings of the clutch.
I hope you can help me on this one.

Here are some pictures:

The white stuff in the clutch house is some kind of grease.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi John,

Thank you for your reaction. Do you mean the bearing on the drive shaft?
There's a bearing just behind the "claw" (sorry..don't know the correct word  )
Or do you mean another bearing?

Maybe my major has a different clutch layout, but I'm sure my thrust bearing is on the other side of the claw, I'll double check later to make sure.

LOL... ... You have the throwout bearing in backward.... Turn it around so that the big part faces forward. The bearing part must touch the clutch fingers when the clutch is depressed. Just a small oversite that you will be ribbed about mate. :D Dandy Dave!
