It really depends where you are and how much you have to spend. Here in England, nearly all parts are available from either scrap tractors or after-market parts suppliers. In other parts of the world, where the tractors were not as common, parts are still there but can take some finding.

White smoke usually means either a head gasket fault or un-burnt fuel caused by timing issues or a tractor with a worn engine not starting straight away.

Timing issues are easy to sort, a worn engine would not put me off if the parts were available and the buying price was right.

White smoke due to water in the combustion chambers, (head gasket) would possibly mean a lot of work and possibly money. If the head gasket has been replaced correctly and it still leaks, the head may need machining or the liners may be below the surface of the block. Neither of these is a big problem, but to get the liners up you will need to strip the engine and, if you are going that far it would be foolish not to do a complete overhaul. Cost, time and money again come into the equation.

At the end of your overhaul, you will have a tractor that will be a very good work horse but may have other issues in the future like all machines. You may want to go right through her and look at brakes, steering, gear box, rear axle and hydraulics as well as the engine.

Check to see if she has a Live Clutch. This would make her more usefull if working bush hogs or other PTO implements.

Sorry to sound a bit negative but you need to know these things before spending money. I have a similar Super in my collection and am in the process of going right through her so I speak from experience. :D
