Hi, glad to find your site, but I have to admit I am not very familiar with this kind of site. I have a question on a Fordson Super Major and dont know how to post. Here is my question: I have a Super Major not sure of the year The # under the #1 injector is 8509396. Can someone tell me a way to pull the reverse idler gear shaft out without splitting tractor ? I already have idler gear off. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have a read of this link. It should help you to gather casting dates/codes, which will help us identify the year of your super major.
I would suspect that the 8 in your engine serial number is probably a S which will indicate the engine has been replaced with an industrial engine. Quite common practice. If you can provide these date/codes, we will be able to tell you when it was built.
