Lift arm compatibility

Post by will c »

Hi I was wondering what lift arms would also fit a super major.
Are the dexta or 1000 series lift arms the same? or were the cross shafts different?
The reason I ask is I am after some lift arms with the extra hole for a PUH

Thanks in advance

None of the lift arms are compatible with a Super.

I'm afraid you are after the holy grail, I am not aware of anything else that will fit. I have seen folk asking up to £300 - £400 for a pair of these. Trouble is the splines wear so many s/h ones are next to u/s. One of mine had bad splines, I got hold of a decent normal super lift arm and was going to get the centers machined to re-spline to pick up hitch arm. Since then a guy on ebay has been listing some repro arms for £200/pair so I bit the bullet and bought a pair. They look good but haven't tried them yet.
Happy hunting!

I feared that may be the case :?

So my search will continue, if not maybe I could manufacture a pair by welding the extra lug on with dissimilar rods then drill it out,

:scratchhead: Has anyone done this before???
