What size are the bolts that hold the steering box to the body of the tractor?

Dear icom 102

According to my parts list, they are 1/2 in UNC x 1 and 7/16 in long "special hex head bolts". I don't know what is "special" about them!

Tim

One is drilled and acts as a breather for the gearbox.

I am probably wrong, but I thought the breather bolt was one of the four bolts that hold the fuel tank support brackets to the transmission housing, rather than the steering box.

Hi Timeee your a brave man questioning what the fordson god says
I was thinking the same thing I checked the bolts on my super steering box and could not find one with the hole in only the one thats 5/8 head in the support like you said. maybe its covered in gunk and plugged and I have learned something new today. :)

Note to self:

Remember to engage brain before letting fingers loose on keyboard!

Of course you are right, its the fuel tank support bolts that are drilled, the steering box bolts are normal bolts. Sorry.

Hi Brain
It seems You have way to much going on from your other topic in the general forum to even be trying to find time helping us guys, so I think we could forgive you pretty easily for this :) I know sometimes if its crazy busy here things get in a blur and confused so no worries.
Have a good day :)
