Getting on!
Getting on!
Well, my 1953 Major Diesel now has a refurbished seat painted the right shade of Empire Blue and identified as the "de luxe" seat option, which has a plain rubber pad, easily renewed with self adhesive neoprene strip and the radiator grilles are blue, not orange, the colour of the 54 Major I drove as a kid (I never recall seeing orange grilles until the Dexta came out). It looks, and somehow feels, so much better!
Re: Getting on!
Cannot recall seeing any Fordson Major with an orange grill.
From memory the delux seat option ( referred to as the Extra Comfort Seat) cost over 8 Pounds (Australian) extra in 1959.
