I would guess that it is a support platform for a PTO driven pump or generator. It must have been something pretty substantial judging from the ruggedness of the support frame! :scratchhead:

Maybe it was for a back actor on wheels. I forget the brand, but I did see an old 1950ish one at a show a number of years ago. The upper plates look like foot rests. The seat would have been part of the back actor. The heavy draw bar would have been a must as a normal drawbar would not have put up with the beating a ruff operator would have given it. The pump would have mounted to the PTO. Another thought would be a crop sprayer that also had a PTO pump. Dandy Dave!

Hi,

The coin has been used to increase the pressure in the hydraulic system. It does this by giving the pressure relief valve spring additional compression. The spring is under the circular disc with the tapped centre hole.

Maybe this indicates that what was on the back of the tractor needed more pressure than was initially available.

The seat is a normal one, so i don't think there have been a back actor on it, also the frame didn't go futher than to the gearbox... :scratchhead:

Mayby a forklift???

Are you going to replace the bull pinion seals and rebuild the brake drum assemblies? I've got some photos of the these operations if you'd like to see them. The spring assembly on the brake shoes can be a little confusing - what I mean is, it confused me the first time I did it! :D

You just can't Idle it around all the time. You need to put it to work every once in a while plowing, disking, or topping. Something that puts a decent steady load on it. The rings will get sticky if you do not work it from time to time. Dandy Dave!

Hi a small question

I was working on my hydraulic top cover and discovered this "oring" on the shaft for the lifting arms

Image

Mine fordson didn't have lifting arms installed so i opened my partlist to see where this would fit when the arms is coming on
discovered that in the partlist its a standart oring there is fitted but cant see what size it is :scratchhead:

Image

which oring are im going to use???

EDIT.: Found out the Square ring fits perfectly in the housing :|
