Hi
Glad to see you got her home and can finally get to enjoy your tractor. she looks good for a used major :) .
I guess if you find mice on it anywhere you need 2 new cats
here's to hopefully a few years happy tractoring without to much trouble :D
Regards Robert

Thanks Robert, if those two cats don't do a good enough job, we have another seven in reserve and a dog to keep them all in line. :D

Lovely tractor in very good condition.

Envious of your pick-up/trailer combo! How does the Nissan go with a Major in the rear view mirror?! Does it pull the weight ok?

Regards

Adrian

Hi Adrian, don't be too envious, the trailer was just on loan from a friend.

Believe me when I say that the Navara certainly knew when the tractor was on the trailer but fortunately we only had to do about six miles (half of that down windy country lanes) and there were no big hills :D Pulling just the trailer, you wouldnt know it was there if it wasn't for the clanging about.

Had to remember though that the trailer was about 10" wider than the car either side....

I know DD, but the grills were homemade and, I don't know, I just preferred the look of orange. :D

I am not so sure about those grill colours. Last winter we rebuilt a j17 crawler wich contained a 57 PM. It was equipped with a BIG snowblower at the front and a 6 syl. volvo engine at the back to pull that. The tractor itself was hidden behind brackets, tanks and hydraulic equipment. However, when we pulled all that stuff off we found a prestine front cowling and bonnet with ORANGE grills. There is no way anybody has crawled in there to paint the grills. If it wasn't done on the factory, the only solution is that Roadless had done it when assembling the tracks. Here in Norway I have seen many other Majors with the same orange grills with about the same wear and tear as rest of the tractor, so they havent been painted resently. :scratchhead: :scratchhead:
there is some pictures of it herehttp://ogtf.net/?fordson-major-roadless,46
