Fordson Super Major compatible engines

I have a 1962 Super Major. It came with a 1954 Major engine which is no good and had to be scrapped. I have got hold of someone with a 1959 Power Major who said I can buy the engine. The serial number doesn't match a Power Major as it starts with S8***** which from what I have read is an industrial engine. Will this engine fit the Super Major since it is running in a Power Major (are all the Major/Power Major/Super Major engines all interchangeable with each other and have the same bell housing fitting). Also will the dual clutch assembly that I had with the Major engine fit in the industrial one.

All Majors, Power Major and Super Majors have the same bellhousing bolt pattern.
If the power major engine of your friends is in a tractor already, it should have a sump with a axle pivot in it. If not, you will need to change over the sump that you already have.
Early Majors had the oil pressure relief valve inside the timing cover, but was later changed to being on the oil pump in the sump. Note Early sump will not fit onto a later engine, due to the oil pump pressure relief valve.
May have to adjust throttle linkages as new engine may have different injector pump.
Dual clutch or flywheel should just unbolt and swap over. Clutch linkages may needing adjusting.
Nothing too hard about this conversion.
