My super major arrived without a dash on top of the diesel tank.
I now have a dash panel but I am missing the three clips for the screws to go through.
These are the clips which fit over the flange at the top of the steering column.

I have searched endless lists of U-nuts and spire clips and can't find anything which will go over the thickness required.
If I can't find any I'll have to make something instead but I'd like to use the proper parts if they are available.
Does anybody know of a source for these clips?

A picture to scale goes a long way towards locating parts, especially fasteners!

I'm sure these are, or were, used in the automotive industry some where. I would search a fastener suppler for antique autos. These were most likey used in something like a late 50's or early 60's Ford car or truck. Something like door panel clips. or other sheet metal fasteners. Dandy Dave!

I feel you pain! I dont have any for my Selene power Major, and I have been looking for quite some time.
My plan was to use these Rubber rivet nuts. no special tools needed to install them, just thread a long screw in them and push them in place. Harley Davidson uses them in the front faring/dash to hold things in place and they work extreamly well.

Here is a photo of the clips.
They don't even seem to be listed in the Fordson parts book.





I'll keep search and post if I find somewhere that supplies them.
If not Pat's rivet nuts look like a possible solution.

After a few months of searching I finally resorted to making some of my own;

OK still getting caught up on stuff from this summer!
Forget my suggestion about using the rubber rivet nuts, I used these ¼” concrete anchors instead, they worked slicker than snot and you should be able to pick them up at most any hardware store.
On the second pic you may notice the split collar on the throttle shaft, I install one under the top mount, one above the bottom mount and the shaft never moves out of position up or down, by far better than the factory snap rings and when everything is together they can’t be seen.
