May need reaming with either the right size or an adjusable reamer.
Have used a piece of steel rod or a bolt ( head cut off), a hacksaw cut is made down the centre of one end to hold strips of emery paper, this is chucked
in an electric drill set on high speed and run inside the bush, it removes material quicker than you may think so check frequently . Not the most accurate
method but in many cases will work OK.

Hi Steve
If you don't have access to the reamer or a machine shop that does, or don't want to buy one, You might find an adjustable brake cylinder hone will go small enough to do what you want  . It might take a while but will be more controlled than some other suggested methods, That's how I did a set of king pin bushes as I didn't have the reamer  .
Good luck :)

Hi Steve

Just a quick observation. I have owned four Majors over the years and none of them developed any wear on these bushes. The seals were shot on a couple of them, but there was no play on the shaft, which I didn't find surprising, as they spend their whole life immersed in oil and don't have to do much (a bit like the cross shaft for the clutch that passes through the bell housing - I've never found any play on one of those either).

As I say, just an observation! :)

Hey Adrian, The bushes that i am having problems with are the ones actually pressed into the one brake pedal and the two on the clutch pedal. The two bushes in actual casting of the tractor are sound but the seal are shot on both sides.

A-ha! That makes sense! Yes, they can get very wobbly.
