block leak
working on a fordson new major. was pretty rough when i started on it. was siezed, put in new rings. major oil leak from front tranny chamber to rear, put in new lower seals. everthing now is good sure starts good. oil levells seem good. it has been leaking antifreeze not huge amts, out of the block where the governor rod goes thru the block. i have put in iron tite, but it still persists on leaking a little, any other ideas?
Re: block leak
Hi mate, I had the same problem when I rebuilt the engine in my major, I think it was because I disturbed all the crap in the bottom of the block when I replaced the liners, its now sealed itself up again.
Is there a way of taking it out because there has to be some sort of seal in there, perhaps an o-ring?
