Changing oil sump gaskets on a super major

Post by origin »

I have to change the sump gaskets on my super major, is there any tips or tricks that I should know when changing them?

bump, does the tractor need to be split to do this gasket? or can it be done with it together, also what seals the rear of the sump?

Hi,

Its à real straight forward job. Just drop the sump, clean the surfaces fit new gaskets and put together.

There are no seals on the vertical side of the sump.

Take care with the really heavy parts.
