Hello just wanting to ask what is involved with rebuilding the lift pump as it is leaking from between the two halves

Sounds like the small screws holding the upper and lower bodies together are loose or the diaphragm could be ruptured. I suggest you remove the pump, mark the position of the bodies to each other and remove the screws [nothing will fly out or fall apart]. You can then examine the diaphragm for cuts or breakages. To remove the diaphragm first turn it 90 degrees -- caution, there is a large spring underneath it. To refit, after re-mounting the diaphragm, first tighten all the screws to just less than finger tight, compress the operating lever to its halfway stroke, and then fully tighten the screws.
If, on examination, you find that the leak is not the result of loose screws, then I would suggest you replace the whole pump. The springs of the 2 internal poppet valves will have weakened [and new valves can be a real pain to remove and install]. The oil seal on the rocker arm hardens and leaks and is also fiddly to fit.
