Hi, my Lucas C39 Dynamo self destructed. Does anyone know if the Lucas C40 model will fit, as these seem to me more readily available ?

If you want to keep it original Droitwitch auto electrics will rebuild it for not a lot of money at all, I think mine cost about £40.

They will. Mine was a C40 before I changed to an alternator. But as P. said, re-building is usually cheaper.
