Full-belt pulley cover query

Hi- I'm am playing with the idea of buying the rare belt pulley cover gaurd- shell type thing- but I am wondering how it fits on - as by looking at it - it seems to only bolt on in such a way that the open side faces the back of the tractor ?! - has anyone got a pic of the mounting - and does anyone also know anything else about the history behind the full cover type ?!
