This is the front of right one. There's a lot of extra junk bolted to it, that I'll remove soon. I don't think that the bent piece of strap that's bracing it belongs there, but I'm not sure.

The front of the left one. It doesn't look like its been modified

This is the bar that goes across the tractor, taken from the right side.

The bar from the left side. I'll try to get another picture, tomorrow, of where it attaches.

I may need some pictures of yours, too. Does it have a swinging or fixed drawbar?

Thanks JC, That helps a lot, but yes if you can get a photo of how/where the crossbar bolts onto steering box? That would be great.
Mine has a fixed drawbar but isnt on the beast just now.

Cheers Sandy

Hi Sandy
Here's a couple pictures of the cross bar mounting. I'm not much of a photographer, and its not an easy place to see into. If you can't tell anything from the pictures, here's how it mounts.
There's a small piece of flat strap that bolts to the same holes (on the steering box) as the back of the front fuel tank mounts. The cross bar is welded to that, at a small angle, so that the cross bar is at the same angle as the front of the foot plates.

In the second picture, you can see the end of the flat strap and one of the mounting bolts behind the tube for the temp. gauge. If you need more pictures or some measurements, let me know.

P.S. Here's a picture of my draw bar. Some parts have been changed, but I think some of it may be original. Does any of it look like yours?

Thanks.

This is the best tractor BB on the internet. Everybody helps each other and no one ever says anything bad about anybody else. Its more like a bunch of guys standing around the shop talking about tractors.
