Major blow-by

Post by Kiwi Kev »

Guys
I have read here many times about working a tractor hard when running it in.
My Major is now starting to show the signs of glazed cylinders with some presurerization of the sump. No noticable loss of power though.
I use it mainly for mowing paddocks, so it dosent normally work too hard.

My question is, can I clean up the glazed cylinders by working it hard on a rotary hoe for a few hours, or do I need to pull the motor apart.

Thanks
Kiwi Kev

Try the Rotovator and work it as hard as you can.
