How about this one then Adrian? This is a petrol/paraffin early Major in Australia and belongs to Stephen B. I took it whilst we were staying with him in 2011. It runs like a Swiss watch.

When Stephen first got it home he rang me on the mobile from Aus. and I had to listen to it!

Yup, paint em flat black, put a gun turret on the top and they are ready to go, I can already see the crane chasing a car down the road, hooking the back bumper and dragging them back to the Thunder Dome!

There is actually an old episode of the Twilight zone, (one of the main characters is the guy from Green Acres), and there is a Super Major with a loader and a back hoe that twitches to life enough to make them jump. Not quite the Thunder Dome but I’m sure it was scary enough in its day!

Hi Henk

I think it's for driving posts into the ground. I just wonder how manoeuvrable it would be. Looks a bit heavy.

Just re-read the eBay listing, Henk. You're right. It is a drilling rig for electricity poles. Can't quite see it making its way across a wet field myself. It would need that winch to recover itself!

That is one sweet catapult!!!! Just remember to lean back in the seat when firing it so you don't end up with a face full of catapult arm!

Rotfl ... :D

Hydraulics may a little bit slow for a catapult.

True, hydraulics would be way to slow... but if that was a pneumatic cylinder.... hmmm.....????

One of the things I really love about this board (other than being a Fordson owner myself) is that I am a minority; being from the US. I really wondered if that comment would have any international meaning. I feel the world is a little smaller knowing there is a shared back ground in watching a couple of nuts that like to blow stuff up... who can also look at a piece of engineering and wonder "Hmmm.... what could we throw with that????"
