First tractor

M19a = 19 oct. 1957

20lt isnt a date code

The engine seems to be at 1959 power major mark III

(G) earbox is 18 oct. 1957

Second tractor

Engine number looks like 6 cyl thames trader engine (correct me if im wrong :scratchhead: )

B11a = 11 feb 1957

F18v = 18 may 1954

This tractor looks like a ASP :eyes:

So you have a Fordson Major Diesel with a transplanted engine out of a Power Major. Your gages should be low in the 1957 parts of the tractor. Yuppy, an ASP Tractor. Dandy Dave!

No but when you have to replace parts, you have to know what year the part belong to :wink:

If the rest of the parts on the 6 Cylinder tractor are Power Major, your best option would be to take take the Power major Engine out of the Fordson Major Diesel and swap it with the 6 Cylinder engine. Does the 6 Cylinder tractor have a differential lock and disk brakes? Or does it have drum brakes like the 1957 tractor? The best thing you can do now is to learn how to post photos. Or get one of your friends that knows how to help you post some. Dandy Dave!
