Hello to all the members of the forum ,Its my first posting on the subject of the Super Major I have recently brought ,As you can see its would suggest its a 1963 model and according to the log book it was first registered in 1964 ,It apparently was supplied to Boscombe Down Airfield from H Whites of Devizes Wilts ,On the exhaust manifold side F L is cast on the cylinder head , Has anyone got any idear were I can obtain a H Whites Suppliers plate which would have been mounted on the bonnet ,Its currently having a few jobs done on the old girl , Reg AWV 733B Apparently a Wiltshire Reg ,I look forward on any comment anyone may have on the issue ,Yours faithfully A Stewart Salisbury Wilts

Wellcome to this forum. I think the serial number should be 8C and not 8G. 8D was the last letter buildt in 64.
