I dug an original bonnet out to restore and put on an unfinished tractor of mine. The actual tinwork etc is straight with no rust, and all original handles/stays/clips etc.
The problem I have is, the hinge is completely shot through with rust. I managed to get the rod out intact, but most of the tubes it goes through came with it! I assume you cant get around this problem without serious modification?

Colin Perryman used to sell bonnet hinges ,dont know does he now.I had the same problem ended up buying a new bonnet .Liam.
