I can see them, both now, and this morning when I looked.

edited, thanks for the heads up,
and Kiwi Kev is a member of the other forum too ;)

Now I really need to clear out 'the stores' so I can get it under cover.
What's an unknown condition, but turns, 590E worth with injector pump and manifolds?

Hi
Nice looking tractor on the whole :D but got some odd parts on and a some missing
So for us that are missing something here whats the other "secret society" forum you guys are members of  .

The 590 or 6D as most know it, are better if complete known runners, they had a bad reputation for wearing the cranks the same as Major motors. if you start it and find low or no oil pressure when warm. You got to either hope the crank can be re ground, or find a good one to replace it if worn past 30 thou re grind.

The oil pump is bigger than a standard major motor I believe as well. Don't know of anybody doing new cranks or oil pumps for them  . I would be at scrap price plus a bit. good ones seem to be making around 300- 500 quid plus, on Flea bay at the moment, allowing for people that don't know when to quit bidding  .

I Got an early one here in Canada and can't find a crank to fix it at the moment. you may have a better chance in the U.K finding good used cranks if needed  . see plenty of parts to fit them around for almost everything else. some of it is the same as the major, only more of them used like sleeves, pistons rings. gasket sets are available also from a few guys
They can also suffer from the same block sealing ring problems as the major motor can with corroded seal grooves/rotted liner bottoms, or dried out leaking liner seals, really a dry stored non running motor is a huge gamble full stop when i think about it :!: . you won't know it might be trouble until you own it and try running it if buying one :eyes: .
sorry it's not really a positive outlook on the motor but junk is out there and these things are getting way past legal smoking age and very close to getting an early retirement pension
Regards Robert

I have a top link bracket in the shed so that's sorted.
Tractor had a loader on from new so had the silencer through the bonnet and the smaller bonnet handles so loader didn't catch. Seems to make sense.

The photo appears to show a Super hydraulic lid, and not a NP Super lid. To be sure, does the lid have an aluminium knob near the pressure relief valve?
