Are they the same ones that fit my Power major? Dandy Dave!

Im thinkin those are the corect ones, all of my units use that same cover wether on the countys, the selene, or just the 2 wheeldrive tractors.

Well I help him get some rare side badges from Canada a few years back because the eBay seller would not sell to the UK. The guy with these parts will only sell to the UK. Being the shoe is on the other foot I though he may help me out this time. Dandy Dave!

these guys that won't post usually figure out that if a guy asks about shipping to another country, it is another bid or 2 on there item .

i have emailed a few guys and politely asked if they would ship smaller parts. even when half way round the world, and local pick up is only option. I usually know post costs and customs forms are pretty easy in that country when I ask and would be willing to pay that cost and some time in them doing it also if they wanted. Most don't even add there time in the end. I just let them know all this info in my message if they are interested in kindly helping.

In about 20 guys I asked, I only had one that said no, and the prized rude reply I had from him in reply to what i kindly informed him about his part and it being incorrect info, was " he new everything there was to know about Fordsons and I was an idiot in no uncertain terms," me being the guy with near 20 fordson tractors, so you would think I knew his part was advertised completely wrong .it was so rude it kinda made you think he was a pecker head and I didn't want to deal with him anyway. found out later he had just cleaned out his grandpa's estate and everything he advertised after was listed wrong to and probably made way less than it should of for what it was.. .

If your in I'm out ,I need a pair of them for the county 954 steering ram. was kinda thinking about asking / bidding when i first saw them listed . But if you want them there's no point starting a forum peeing contest over who wants to pay the most .

Thanks, Although my dad always said, "There is no friends at an Auction." This is like the last few pieces I need to complete the PM. I have found the Clear Hooter's Horn, The correct seat latch, and several other small missing items. These to say the least, have been like finding Rocking Horse Manure. We will see how high they go. Every time I drive it, it bugs me to look at that PS cylinder and not have the right covers on it. Dandy Dave!

you don't have to worry about me I won't bid, Can't say the same for anybody else here though that wants them . Chances are if you asked on the forum I might of got the right Rocking horse poo here that you needed for some parts for that tractor.

If you think you got problems finding stuff for a Power Major, Maybe it's a good job you Don't have those 2 P6 E27N's I picked up . Kinda looks like I might be heading on a holiday,with a 16 hour time jump from here, and taking a very large suit case with me as well . I can't find anything much at all for them here in North America now, to many guys shipped them back to the U.K 2or 3 years ago .

Oh Brian, Stop. I'm already bidding on them. The fellow lifted the sell to the UK only for me and agreed to ship here to the US. It is under control now. I got a new computer not long ago and don't have your e-mail on it. Thank You. Dandy Dave!

I had an ad down in the buy/sell/swap forum for a number of years, but no one ever answered for these PS cylinder covers. I got the seat assembly with the latch from a local wrecker. The horn came from Canada. British Tractor Wreckers. Some other stuff came from aftermarket. Luckily the bulk of my PM was original and serviceable. Dandy Dave!

These are now over what I wanted to Spend... ... GB-78. Whooo Hoooo. Have they passed the price of gold in weight yet? It must be common for these to break and fall off. Dandy Dave!

They went over my maximum bid nearly as soon as I put it on. Wish I had a few sets to sell!

Any time you see something I will always bid for it and send it on, I already do this for the Fordson Club of Australia, just give me an idea of what to pay.

Just a thought, that ram was common to Nuffield, JCB, Whitlock and a few other manufacturers of the time. When Fords finished supplying the parts we got them from JCB as we also had a JCB agency.

I bet they weren't $2 each back in the day. I have looked at one that I have on the tractor and they would not be that hard to make. I have a box and pan break, A pedal sheer, and a couple of sheet metal rollers, lots of sheet metal hand tools. I bet I even have a punch the right size. Dandy Dave!

yup, most any electrician should have a punch close to that size.

If you could make then I'd be down for a set . I Think the biggest thing to making them might be they are spring steel, from the way they have to fit over the cylinder, and stay tight when fitted . if they are spring steel that would make them harder to do I'm thinking .
Your a smart guy though I'm sure you can figure it out how to do them .

Ebay is getting to the point were a guy can't afford parts on there these days . The original clips that hold the lower linkage balls on a super make crazy money, Starters and Battery trays for E27Ns seem pretty popular as well, making 100 pounds plus.
I have seen stuff thats new on with a seller thats twice the price of agriline and exactly the same product to, some guys are just greedy selling, and some that buy from them at these prices are just plain stupid .

I got a feeling more of those clips will turn up shortly. if those made big money somebody else will put a set up thats laying around a barn or dealer old stock.. Thats whats happened with the starters and battery trays, a few sets of those linkage clips turned up a few weeks later as well .

The one left on my tractor did not seem like spring steel. Maybe that is why they are all broken and missing.
