Stuck unload valve

My Super has been standing for a few months and when I operated the lift it got stuck in the up position. Looks like the unload valve is stuck. I'm going to make a puller for the plug. Does anyone happen to know what the thread size is for the hole in the plug, and also the plug diameter? I'm not by the tractor and am thinking of getting the necessary bits and pieces (bolt, nut, washer and piece of thick-walled pipe to fit over the plug) before I head over to do the job.
Thanks in advance.

ps Searched this subject and posted my question in the Dexta section by mistake. So sorry. :?

Hi Adrian,

did you solve this topic? Today I disassembled my hydraulics, changed lots of o-rings but did not manage to get out the plug of the valve hidden by the plates of the control valve. Thread there was 3/8" UNF (I think). I had nothing of that kind, unfortunately.

How do I get out the speed control valve in the auxiliary service control? Oil pressure from hydraulic pump (without spring) gave only lots of oil in the workshop.

Peter

Hello Peter
Yes, I fixed my problem, thanks.
Re the flow control valve issue you have, I have never dismantled the auxiliary service/flow control valve assembly, so I am afraid I cannot help. I have the good fortune of living near a New Holland dealership, where a mechanic who worked on Majors and Dextas in the sixties still works part-time. His name is Brian, like our great Brian on this site. Brian replaced all the o rings and seals in the assembly, including the flow control valve. Our Brian on this site is the one to ask.
Best
