I am looking for a more comfortable seat as the pan type.
Does anybody have a newer version installed which can be recommended?
The Major with Hydraulics is kind of tricky as the space is limited aft and it is already on the high side.
Thanks
Best regards from Austria

Hi Dietmar

Viel Dank
Mike
so the rest can follow...
Very interesting. I too have a Major and also suffer with my back.
Maybe you could post the pictures on this site for us all to see. It may be my answer also.

hi
here are the pics, hope it works.
it`s the seat that is on my FSM (1617909)

the cushion was removed for pics
it`s a verx good seat when you have trouble with your
back,the suspension is adjustebl
but remeber,it`s not original
was made by Grammer,a german company,in the mid
seventies,i think

Thank you for the great pictures.
The issue I have in front of me looks different.
Frans version looks like it has no Hydraulics, which makes mounting easier as it fits lower on a flat surface.
Jan, yours is a Super Major which has a different Hydraulics as well.
The mounting points on the pre Super are lower in front of the arm housing - this makes it complicated. The hydraulic arm housing sticks up and limits any construction to be moved back to it.
If I mount a regular seat on this provisions it is to far forward.
It looks that the only way to mount it right is using the original pan.
Maybe someone has an additional idea.
Best regards
Dietmar
