FMD Bolts

Post by Matt85 »

Hi, does anybody know the size of the bolts that connect the stay chains the rear axle. Also does anybody know the bolt size for the exhuast manifold bolts. One more question, What is the O-ring size on the fuel tap?

Thanks,
Matt

The original chains were held with 3/4ths X 2.5 " pins with cotters where the chain clevis pins to the brackets on the rear axle. If you do not have pins available, I would use at least a 3" bolt and nut. The manifold bolts are 3/8 ths. Not positive but I think they are course thread, which would be 16 TPI. Not sure on the O ring. Dandy Dave!

Cool thanks for the info. I wish I could find a O-ring that fit the fuel tap. So I wouldn't have to spent money on a new tap.

Anytime I cant find a weird O-ring I go to a hydraulic or fuel in inection shop. They always have odd ball O-rings and usually get them for free or pennies.
