Hi
Yes it will they won't swap the other way because the hole were the steering box fits through is smaller on the ordinary major tank  . i have seen a few with the power tank on It looks pretty awful with the flat spot and the big hole . but if that's what you got, and need to use then not much can be done about it :( .
Regards Robert

Hi Tworods

The major tank with central tube for steering column appears to have been used from start until August '58,thereafter the offset tube tank was used with the tank top mounted instrument scuttle and throttle, I know the PM came after the Major with Mk2 engine (mine is April '58) but not sure what if any overlap there might have been.

I'm sure someone who can be more definite will be along soon but welcome to the Forum - what part of the world are you in ?

Thanks guys. I can get a power tank cheap and ill figure a way to make it look good hopefully. Got to be better than a leaking tank. Updated my location also.

OK Tworods, looks like I crossposted over Robert, who is on the same continent as you but still several hundred miles distant according to Google :D

If you had someone locally who works leaded or stained glass, they would have soldering irons with enough capacity to soft solder repair the old one (if it is not too holy)

Don't underestimate the search facility for previous postings here if you need a quick answer, chances are the problem or something like it has been discussed before, I've learned more about Fordsons since joining the forum than having had them in the family all my life (my E1a was built within a couple of weeks after I was born !)

Never been there but heard a bit about BC as my brother's stepson now lives with his dad in Kelowna

Good luck with the repair

You could try to fix the New Major tank with tankcure. Worked well for mine.
