but here in germany they are pretty rare (do i have the first here?????)
the restauration was started in febr. this year, and is going on.
now in the winter a bit slowly, but more time for theorie.
i try to post some pictures as soon as i find a good hostingsite.
have made many pics.

(my last post was in 2003/old board-sorry,but i was still reading the board)

Hi Jan,

Henrietta is September 1952 and yours is October so they are very close together.

It was the year of highest number of "spark ignition" tractors built. After 1952 they became fewer and fewer as the diesel engine took over.

There are a number of petrol Major owners that I know of but not so many kerosene versions and ,yes, I think you are the only person frpm Germany on here who has one.

Hello Jan,

What a great job your doing. It’s going to look wonderful. Are there many technical failures on the tractor?
What did you do with the radiator shutters, and why did you use a steel pipe on the air inlet connection?
I like the cab that was on it. What are your plans with it?

hi all,and hi Henk
here are your answeres for your questions:
the only technical failures on this nice "Lady"are/was
new brakelinings, new seals for brake halfshafts(buyed new from
CNH-not cheap!!!)new fronttyres,new crankshaftseal front(CNH),
the manifold has a crack!!! i`am looking for a sparepart,but i
think,i can`t get one.The rest is/was without trouble.
engine starts and run very smooth!!!!
only a good cleaning with the wirebrush to remove the old paint,
repainted with original CNH-Empire-Blue,that was the biggest job.
the radiatorshutters were in exellent condition,a friend has taken
them to his work and he galvanised them with zinc.
the "steel pipe" is a alloy pipe, and it is also original.
the cab was sold to a good friend in august this year, sorry!!
(the right door was missing !!!)
if there are more questions, ask me!
i think i will have more questions on this tractor in future.
this board is the best i know.if you have questions/trouble with
your lovely Fordson, take a look here, and you find the answer/help
you need.
many thanks to all here on this site, your knowledge is
so helpfull.
i was this year in Meddo with my brother, was a nice Sunday.
