Whining sound from pto whil

I got the brakes all fixed up . I think ? haven't got the wheels On yet for the test run.they were in reasonable condition just totally seized and gritty. Ill get the floorboards welded a little and get my new mud guards fitted.then I should have a good practical working fordson major . Although there is still a strong WHINE from the pto which seems to be coming from beneath the bell housing , is there a usual /common reason for this ? I suppose ill have to address this issue . But I want to take a spin with new engine clutch and brakes before I do much more .
