I took off the breather stack and notice a liquid, must be water in the bottom. Is that suppose to be there?
What suppose to be inside the air canister? Any replaceable filters?

It is an oilbath aircleaner so there should be oil at the bottom. You can clean the whole filter unit with dieselfuel if you don´t have som other cleaning products and then fill the bowl to the mark with new engine oil.

What type of oil goes in the breather?

Hi yelbike,
Welcome to the BB.

The air cleaner should use the same oil as the engine. If you use oil that's too heavy, it won't trap the dirt, if its too light, it could get pulled into the engine.
