Belt Pulley Unit
Hi all, Can anybody tell me if the Belt Pulley unit from an E27N will fit into a Super Major without Modifications? Thank you - Kav.
Re: Belt Pulley Unit
Hi,
It won't fit.
The E27N pulley is a little different. The gear which transfers the power from the geabox intput shaft to the pulley is secured with a castellated nut on the E27N unit. With the introduction of the New Major a high/low box was added to the gearbox.
Therefore the casstelated nut crashes with the gears. From then on the pulley shaft was shorter and the gear secured with a circlip. Had the same issue about a year of ten ago. From memory the part no. for the shaft did not change, due to the backwards compatibility with the E27N shaft.
