Hi all !!
as you kmow,im a proud owner of a lovely e1adkn/tvo major, from 1952. now i want to know, what is the official hp rating on these
engines???

Hp rating
Hello Jan,
Something round 34 bhp I think.
Check this picture, it is the Dutch translation of the measurements make at the UK "DLG" in the early 1950's.
These say 32.4 BHP on the belt pulley drive.
Best regards
Emiel
ps: These 32 are very big horses. We used to have a 40 HP 3 cilinder Hanomag who performed less to my idea.

Specc of the three engines at 1600 rpm from 1952 are:
Diesel .. 40.5 bhp
Petrol .. 39.5 bhp
Kerosene .. 38.5 bhp
These would be bare engine figures so they would loose a few more HP through gearbox and ancillary equipment.
