Front hubs

Post by woodcutter »

Hi all I've got a diesel major with cast front wheels, if I want to change to steel wheels will the front hubs from a later major fit my axle/spindles or is there more to it than that? Cheers any advice appreciated

I think so as ISTR using one after a shredding the tyre on a cast hub.

If no one else can confirm I'll measure the pair of tin wheel bores up when I go over to the tractor later in the week (I've a pair that remained when the Super departed for another life) The (bald) tyres are much wider than the ones on the cast hubs and are not nice without power steering.
Best regards
