Just out of interest doe anyone know if it is possible to retrofit an aftermarket double acting spool valve to the hydraulics of a super major?

I would like to fit a powered tip on the loader that I already have on the Super major.

Obviously there wold be some pipework involved as well as fitting a suitable ram / rams, but is there a direct feed from the hydraulic pump that I cold connect the valve to and then feed back in to the top of the reservoir.

I was wondering if it would be possible to fit a spool valve such as the one below?

Kind regards

Yes that would be quite simple, and could be done in different ways:

1. connect up your valve block to your loader, then connect its feed to a coupler (quick-release or screw-type) plugged into the coupling at the back of the tractor; then you can un-plug it if you need to tip a trailer, for example

2. slightly neater than the above if you don't need the trailer-tipping - remove the steel pipe altogether and connect your valve-block feed in its place, directly to the auxiliary-services outlet (I was going to say, 'between your legs', but that might have made me blush  )

Either way, all you need to do is pull out the button and keep the main lift lever up, then you will have continuous pressure available at your spool block
