After a bit over a year my super major is finally finished. I tried to keep it in the original Australian colours.
The tractor was completely stripped and paint removed. Amazingly the only parts the needed replacing apart from seal and gaskets were engine rings and bearings,axle bearings and raised pto gears, not bad considering its age and most of its life of pushing cane train bins on and off trucks.
that is a good looking machine , you must have put some serious hours into it.
just curious what is the long lever with knob on coming out by pto shaft.

That is a raised a PTO unit, which does about 3x different things.
It raises the PTO shaft higher off the ground level(suit some impliments)
It also changes the RPM of the pto shaft to I think 720 rpm
The lever enables you to disengage the pto shaft without disengageing the hydraulic pump

Very nice job. I see that you also have an extra fuel flter mounted to the firewall. My tractor also has that, but not the sediment bowl mounted below the injector pump.

All Fordson Diesels that originated out of the Australian Plants had both Primary and Secondary Fuel Filters. This started back in 1949 with the old P6. They also had Primary Air Cleaner Elements which were optional equipment. This also started with the old P6 and went right through to the last of the Super Majors. The Sediment Bowl below the pump was a Dagenham fitting.

I've read in a number of books/articles that have said that all units shipped to Australia as the New Performance Super Major (4/62 on) had the off white guards & wheels.
Just a query here regarding the colours. The last Orange wheeled Supers over here had the Minimec pump. Is it possible that the colour change to white/grey took place after this one was built?
The lift does not look like a New Performance lift but I could be wrong.

I was looking at my books since I posted and came up with the answer. My memory was letting me down. Yes the minimec pump & Mech governor came in 4/62 and the New Performance units began 7/63 and had the grey/white colours.
