Mysterious spring

Post by woodcutter »

Whilst I had the hydraulic top off my super major I thought I would give it a bit of a clean inside and I've found a little spring, it's a bit mangled but it's probably about 2" long and 1/2" wide any ideas where this could come from I can't see anything Missing from hydraulic linkage and I've googled pictures still can't see, unless someone dropped it in there :D

there's a spring on the hydraulic filter (return side). Is yours still there?

Yeah filter all seeed ok, but this spring was quite strong, almost the same as the ones on linkage in lid but shorter and maybe slightly thicker wire

Did you check the spring on the end of the control valve?

Yeah I had that apart it's a stronger spring than that, I've put the top back on now. I've not put oil back in yet so we shall see if if it works. I'm hoping someone dropped it in. :D
