E1a brake oil seals
Hi Guys , has anyone recently replaced the bull shaft oil seals behind brake back plates , the new modern seals supplied are much narrower than the old leather seals, just wondering best depth to set these new seals at, proberly doesn't matter as long as they are in square, any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: E1a brake oil seals
Hi,
as long as you put them the right direction it will be alright.
You can check if the old seal did make a groove in the shaft. If so, it's better to get the new seal at a different spot.
